Our story

In the very heart of Poreč, just a few minutes' walk from the Euphrasian Basilica, the story of Almost Famous Burger Bar began in 2024 — a place born from years of experience, a passion for gastronomy and the desire to create a burger that would set new standards of quality.

Behind this concept stands owner and chef Fabijan, who, after more than eighteen years of professional work in hospitality, decided to pour his knowledge, experience and vision into his own restaurant. Every detail, from the first sketch to the final recipe, was developed with one goal — to offer guests an authentic gastronomic experience.

At Almost Famous, we believe a great burger starts with great ingredients. That's why we work exclusively with local producers. Our beef comes from Croatian pastures, prepared by a local butcher according to an exclusive recipe developed solely for Almost Famous. We give the same care to the bread, made fresh daily by local bakeries to a specially designed recipe, to perfectly complete every burger.

What sets us further apart are our signature sauces. Every sauce is prepared exclusively by chef Fabijan in his own kitchen, following original recipes that remain a closely guarded trade secret. They're the finishing touch on every burger, and the reason our guests keep coming back.

There are no shortcuts here. Every burger is made to order, using carefully selected ingredients and techniques that bring out their natural flavour. We believe quality isn't an accident — it's the result of dedication, know-how and respect for every ingredient.

Although our story began in Poreč, Almost Famous was conceived from the very start as a Croatian premium burger brand. Our vision is to bring the same standard of quality, the same recipes and the same experience to other cities across Croatia, without compromise.
